This place certainly holds its own in the asian/pacific islander cuisine landscape here on Kaua'i. It's all fresh (it comes out in the taste) and came out much sooner than I expected given the size of the line to get to the ordering station. It was a great portion and there was a little bit for every familiarity of island cuisine. I think that my favorite was my own dish, the Korean Fried Chicken, but wow was it all good (my family steals from one another). You can tell that these people put the work in when they deliver meals like these. The only reason that this place didn't get the 5 star was for the amenities and interior. No bathroom as far as I could tell, and the lighting didn't help the decor as much as it maybe could, but I still heartily recommend this place. I might go take a nap now.

If you're craving authentic Hawaiian takeout, this spot is worth a try. The Hawaiian Combo Plate #3 (luau pork, pulled pork, and rice) and fresh poke were great, but the Spam musubi's rice lacked flavor. Note: it's takeout only, with a small standing area to eat.

Absolutely the Best Poke on Kauai! We can't get enough of Koloa Fish Market! This was our second visit on this trip alone, and we've been coming here since 2022. Every poke bowl we tried was amazing--fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The variety of sides and toppings is fantastic, ensuring everyone in our party found something they loved. Each bite was an explosion of island flavors! The friendly staff and authentic vibe of this Old Town Koloa gem make it even more special. If you're on Kauai, this is an absolute must-visit. Best poke on the island, hands down! We'll definitely be back!

Koloa became our go-to poke spot for several lunches. We love the poke, the sides, and the desserts. A $12 one-item poke bowl was perfect for us. Poke - Maui Onion Seaweed, Korean, Shoyu, Wasabi, Spicy Ahi - all tasty, though I'm less into the saucier choices. The menu at the counter has detailed descriptions of all options. Sides - I got both kinds of cucumbers, though the salad was also good. Rice - Went for sushi rice each time. Why not? Desserts - Their haupia ube mac nut pie is one of my favorite desserts of all time, anywhere. We also really enjoyed the mango bread. Both are less sweet than you may find at other bakeries. We are not exactly in soup nazi territory, but the counter staff are serious about you getting through your order quickly and efficiently. I'm sure this is a result of loads of tourists sauntering in and asking the same questions, running stream-of-consciousness through their choices, etc. The staff are not rude, but they are firm, and we got with the program quickly. All the information you need to create your bowl is on the cards taped to the counter. The left counter is for placing your order only. The right counter will call you up when your order is ready, and that's where you pay for the fish plus any drinks/desserts you pick up while you're waiting. When we were last in Kauai ten years ago, this market was in a much smaller space that I believe was window-order only. It's great to see them in this larger location and as popular as ever.

This is the poke that is worth flying 13 hours to eat. Insanely fresh, tons of flavor options, and reasonably priced. I could eat it every day. One thousand percent you have to try it on your trip to Kauai. You won't regret it. I just wish they were open for longer hours!
